Do you think there should be a Donut Day once a month or once a year? Around the room are several facts about Donuts. When you find the facts, write them IN COMPLETE sentences on your recording sheet. Use those facts and then find a little more to make your claim and defend it. Think of the very best party you've ever been to. It might be your own, or it might be a friend's . Write a paragraph to tell me all about it. Use descriptive sentences, punctuation, capitalization and spelling. Make sure that you use interesting words, and don't start all of your sentences the same way. After you complete it, turn it in to the attached folder.

Kiddos, my plans are messed up again today, as I have to leave for an appointment, BUT I know you can handle this assignment on your own! Watch the slideshow, and then answer the questions. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SLIDES. The questions are not multiple choice.

Everyone needs to answer these questions. Be sure to mark as done.

If you were in class, just mark as done, but those that weren’t need to watch ans answer these questions . Here are some suggested questions to answer after you watch the mini-lesson:

1. Could a mountain turn into a volcano? Why do you think that?

2. What did this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have about volcanos?

Bonus Activity: Some mountains are volcanoes, but some are not. How could you figure it out? Imagine that you are a scientist that just discovered a new mountain. How could you decide if it was once a volcano? What clues would you look for? Draw a picture or describe what clues you would look for to figure it out!

Boys and girls.... I have gotten NO responses on Flipgrid this week, and I have gotten NO digital reading log responses. I know that we are getting adjusted to our routine, but there are a few things that you need to be doing every day, and reading and logging are among those requirements. I will check on Tuesday, and you should have AT LEAST 4 entries, either on the digital log, or 4 flipgrid videos....

Good morning!! I am sending you a slide to discuss at our morning meeting. Please take a few minutes to answer the questions and to be sure you're ready for the day. You will need to answer the questions in the text boxes, and then put it in present mode to watch the video.
