PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System)

Please carefully read over the following to learn more about how your track your child's behavior while at school!

Dear Family,

Fourth Grade is utilizing ClassDojo as the mechanism through which its Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system is enforced.

ClassDojo is an Internet-based behavior management tool that will reflect the qualities of RISE, Sterling Elementary School's PBIS system, in order to track and record students' fulfillment of expected positive behaviors throughout the building and all school-related venues. Faculty and staff who interact with your students regularly will assign points in ClassDojo so that students can work towards achieving a designated point-total. Caregiver updates and reports can be sent daily and/or weekly to your device (i.e., cellular telephone, tablet, laptop, computer, etc.) so that you can stay informed of your student's social and behavioral progress regularly.

As with academic achievement, social and behavioral achievement is only experienced when faculty, staff, and caregivers work in tandem so that students understand what is expected of them holds true at school as well as at home. Please speak with your student daily about the importance of exhibiting positive behaviors while at school through thinking about whether or not their actions and behaviors adhere to RISE expectations.

Thank you!
