For the French and Indian War, Stamp Act and Liberty Tree students will Write the main idea for each one and then list the three details for each passage, and then turn in.

I want you to plan out 3 goals for the year 2022. Be specific on how you will plan those goals. For example.  One goal of mine would be, I would like to read more books. How do I plan on achieving that goal? Well, I would like to finish a chapter book in two weeks, so I will read at least 1 to 2 chapters a day.  I would also like to read different genres of books. So, if I read a chapter book in two weeks, I could probably read two different types of books in a month.

Read article Wigmakers Boy or Tea Troubles and jot down important information. Examples: dates, people. What jumps out at you when you are reading?
Chunk your reading (divide up into smaller pieces so you can focus on a little at a time)

Reading Assignment.  Escape the Haunted House!!!

Write a sentence about the picture.  Use describing words (adjectives and/or adverbs).

On this Student Copy of Weather Stations, this will give you an opportunity to use the tools that we talked about on the other Science assignment. In the 2nd slide, you will click and drag the definitions to the correct term. On slide 3 there is a short video for you to watch and then take the test. You can do this as many times as you need. Send me the final test score. There is a place on the page for you to fill in the score and write what you thought was most important.  On slide 4 you are finding the measurement on the Weather Instrument. And finally, on the final slide, you will keep up the weather for the week. On Friday, I will assess this packet.

We do skip a couple of lessons for this Module. So this is actually the last lesson for the Module. The plan is that we will do a review when we come back if it is on Monday, September 13. THen plan for an End of module test for that Tuesday. 


For this lesson, if you are unable to attend the virtual lesson then I would like you to view the Google Slides for Lesson 18. If you do not have any questions, then complete the Google Form for the Problem Set. After that complete the Exit Ticket Google Form. Don't forget to select TURNED IN on the assignment.

Complete the writing prompt below.  Be sure to turn it in when you are finished.

If you are unable to attend the virtual class then please view the Google Slide for Lesson 16. When you finish that and do not have any questions please go ahead and complete the Problem Set for this lesson. When you complete that then go ahead and complete the Exit Ticket. Please be careful this does have a word problem and take your time.

If you do not attend class virtually and if the video is not posted yet view the Google Slides on Lesson 15. Then work on the Google Forms for the Problem Set and finally complete the Exit Ticket.

Review the adjective and adverb slide below.  Then complete the adjective/adverb quiz  to check your understanding of adjectives and adverbs.

Watch the video read aloud of the book Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day.
     After watching the video, write a story about a day in your life when everything seemed to go wrong (On the Google  Doc below).  How did your day start?  What happened?  How did your day end?  How did it turn out that way?  Describe your experience focusing on using adjectives and adverbs in your writing.

Complete your assigned Achieve article AFTER you have listened to the teacher's instructions.
     Log your Achieve article title and scores into your Google Doc. below.

We will be learning about Weather and instruments. We will talk about 3 main vocabulary terms that you should know that relate to using weather instruments to determine weather in an area.  We will complete many of the slides together and then you will find images that show how the instruments are used in the field.

Select one student to be the Golden Rule winner and provide examples that prove they should be the Golden Rule classroom winner.
