Sterling Elementary is proud to be a PBIS school. Our staff members work very hard to insure that all students are provided a safe atmosphere for learning. We will RISE at Sterling! We are excellent role models for Respect, Independence, Self-Control, and Effort!
WHAT is PBIS?
PBIS is a school-wide system that provides clear expectations for behaviors and consistent consequences for inappropriate behaviors across all classrooms and across all school settings. By rewarding positive behaviors and by explicitly teaching our students how to engage in these behaviors, we will foster a positive and safe learning environment. We are excited to have such a dedicated and positive staff who will be excellent role models throughout the school year!
How can Parents help?
As a parent of a Sterling Elementary student, you can help reinforce positive behaviors at home as well. Encourage your child to use respect towards all people at all times and to become an independent student who is responsible for his/her own actions and learning.
