Standard(s): 3.PAR.3.2 Represent single digit multiplication and division facts using a variety of strategies. Explain the relationship between multiplication and division. 3.PAR.3.7 Use multiplication and division to solve problems involving whole numbers to 100. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Justify solutions.

LT: We are learning to use a variety of strategies to represent single-digit multiplication and division.

SC: I can use more than one strategy to solve a multiplication or division problem.

I can assess the reasonableness of my solution.

I can solve multi-step, authentic, multiplication or division problems.

Lesson/Activity: Module 1 Lesson 22

Students select representations and strategies to solve two-step word problems.  Students make connections between the properties of multiplication that they use to solve problems. 


Standard: SS3H1. Describe early American Indian cultures and their development in North America. a. Locate the regions where American Indians settled in North America: Arctic, Northwest Southwest, Plains, Northeast, and Southeast. b. Compare and contrast how American Indians in each region used their environment to obtain food, clothing, and shelter. c. Discuss how American Indians continue to contribute to American life.
