  1. Build Automaticity page 114 with daily 4 step drill

  2. Practice U5W3 high frequency words with kinesthetic drill.

1.Students will share write ir, er, ur sort as opener and review R-Controlled rule.

2. Next, engage in fluency reading row lists with 4 step drill.

3. Then, supplemental high frequency word drill.

4.Last is the Interactive text with 3 step summary (& optional Summary organizer that could be a shared writing or a later small group activity)

1. Students will share write words from TE resources for today using chart in first slide after LT and SC. They may write in notebooks after drawing a chart as well.

2.Supplemental high frequency word drill.

3.Noun Verb Adjective Controlled R word sort:

Taken from U5W3 TE activities. There is also a printout sort to print as well.

Text boxes should be draggable if you click on frames. 

Students could also draw 3 lines and label in their notebooks and write after shared sort on screen.

Students will reread the letter “Let’s Go Green” and will practice using context clue chart to locate different types of context clues.
