Week of: February 10-14, 2025 MATH SOCIAL STUDIES Science and Social Studies instruction alternates between weeks Monday Lesson Sterling 7: Standard(s): 3.GSR.7.1 Investigate area by covering the space of rectangles presented in realistic situations using multiple copies of the same unit, with no gaps or overlaps, and determine the total area (total number of units that covered the space). 3.GSR.7.3 Discover and explain how area can be found by multiplying the dimensions of a rectangle. LT: We are learning to find area with multiplication using composite shapes. SC: I can use the correct units for area. I can use multiplication to find the area of a composite shape. Lesson/Activity: Module 4 Lesson 17 Students identify the features of a floor plan. They create floor plans to design their own dream homes and observe how other students use area in floor plan designs. SS3H3 Explain the factors that shaped British Colonial America. c. Describe colonial life in America from the perspectives of various people: large landowners, farmers, artisans, women, children, indentured servants, slaves, and American Indians. LT: I am learning to describe colonial life in the colonies from the perspectives of various people. SC: ❑ I can describe what life was like as a large landowner in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as a farmer in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as an artisan in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as a woman in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as a child in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as an indentured servant in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as a slave in the Southern colonies. ❑ I can describe what life was like as an American Indian in the Southern colonies. Thirteen colonies True or False scoot Tuesday Lesson Quest Day Sterling 7 Standard(s): 3.GSR.7.1 Investigate area by covering the space of rectangles presented in realistic situations using multiple copies of the same unit, with no gaps or overlaps, and determine the total area (total number of units that covered the space). 3.GSR.7.3 Discover and explain how area can be found by multiplying the dimensions of a rectangle. LT: We are learning to find area with multiplication using composite shapes. SC: I can use the correct units for area. I can use multiplication to find the area of a composite shape. Lesson/Activity: Module 4 Lesson 18 Students find the areas of rectangles and other shapes, organize the data in a table, and plot the data on a line plot. Steins reason and answer questions about the data.. SS3H3 Explain the factors that shaped British Colonial America. c.
