Week of: February 10-14, 2025 MATH SOCIAL STUDIES Science and Social Studies instruction alternates between weeks Monday Lesson Sterling 7: Standard(s): 3.GSR.7.1 Investigate area by covering the space of rectangles presented in realistic situations using multiple copies of the same unit, with no gaps or overlaps, and determine the total area (total number of units that covered the space). 3.GSR.7.3 Discover and explain how area can be found by multiplying the dimensions of a rectangle. LT: We are learning to find area with multiplication using composite shapes. SC: I can use the correct units for area. I can use multiplication to find the area of a composite shape. Lesson/Activity: Module 4 Lesson 17 Students identify the features of a floor plan. They create floor plans to design their own dream homes and observe how other students use area in floor plan designs. SS3H3 Explain the factors that shaped British Colonial America. c.
