In April, Sterling Elementary's Lauren Moody was named the Coastal Georgia Region Library Media Specialist of the Year. This prestigious recognition highlights her dedication to promoting literacy, fostering creativity, and enriching the learning experiences of students and staff alike.
The announcement came as a surprise during the Milestones pep rally on Friday, April 18, where Mrs. Moody was showered in confetti and applause from students and colleagues, alike. Her innovative approach to engaging students and her passion for education have made a lasting impact, earning her this well-deserved honor.
She will now compete for the state title in June, representing the Coastal Georgia region.
