SCIENCE: 

Science is so much fun! Students have the opportunity to dive into so many rich science subjects like weather, magnets, light and sound, plants, and animals. Throughout the year, we will engage in kid-friendly experiments that will help us become scientists!

SOCIAL STUDIES: 

There are so many great people and events to be learned in first grade social studies this year! Benjamin Franklin, Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, Sacagawea, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington Carver, and Ruby Bridges, just to name a few! Students will also learn where we live on a map by identifying our continent, country, state, and city. Through all of this, we will learn about important character traits.
