We are excited to be using Beanstack to track reading progress for our reading incentive program again this year. The reward system has been updated, and the app features a fresh new design. Please take a moment to review this Beanstack newsletter to learn about all the exciting enhancements.

We encourage you to actively engage with your child’s reading journey. Reading aloud together, discussing stories, and encouraging independent reading are wonderful ways to support their growth. Additionally, please assist your child in logging their books in the Beanstack app to ensure their efforts are recognized. If you do not have the app, or are unable to download the app, remind your child that they can log their reading when they come back to school. 

To further enrich your shared reading experience, here are some activities you can enjoy together:

• Read Aloud Sessions: Choose a book to read aloud as a family, taking turns reading pages or chapters.
• Book Discussions: After reading, talk about the story, characters, and what your child found interesting or surprising.
• Create a Reading Journal: Encourage your child to write or draw about their favorite parts of the books they read.
• Reading Challenges: Set weekly or monthly reading goals and celebrate milestones together.
• Visit the Library: Plan regular trips to explore new books and let your child pick selections that excite them.
